01
Scheme and version before the product list
A new building and an operational asset may follow different schemes. For example, BRE’s official knowledge base distinguishes BREEAM In-Use International Commercial V6, TRA 01, from new-construction criteria. Space numbers and evidence follow the project’s applicable manual and clarifications, agreed with the assessor.
02
Facilities people can use every day
We review access, supports, bicycle dimensions and end-of-trip facilities. The proposal can include lockers, changing areas or repairs according to need and scope. A layout must allow spaces to be reached and used; a product’s advertised capacity does not validate the project.
03
Evidence and responsibilities
We organise equipment specifications, the layout, handover photographs and agreed service documents. The certification team specifies evidence requirements and verifies eligibility. BICILUM coordinates delivery and upkeep without claiming assessor or certification-body status.
04
Continuity after installation
Access must be explained to occupiers and facilities must be maintained. User sessions, activities and reviews can be integrated into the building programme. The manager then has information for improvements and a coherent tenant service throughout operations.
FAQ
Practical questions
Does a shelter automatically earn BREEAM credits?+
No. The applicable scheme’s criteria, context and required evidence are assessed.
Can a ModeScore project help?+
BRE describes a conditional route in KBCN1705. The assessor checks scope, criteria mapping and supplementary evidence; there is no automatic equivalence.
