01
Start with operational data
Loan counts, active users, bike availability, maintenance interventions and activity participation describe programme operation. We define each indicator’s period and source. Missing exports or measurements are flagged rather than automatically replaced with assumed values.
02
Commuting and Scope 3
GHG Protocol includes employee travel between home and work in Scope 3 Category 7. A fleet provides only part of the information needed for an inventory. Distance, frequency and transport mode require a documented collection method; commuting’s share differs between companies.
03
Emission estimates with explicit assumptions
Does a cycling journey actually replace a car, public transport or walking? Comparison starts with that answer and a consistent calculation boundary. Factors, year, units and included elements, such as charging or life cycle, must be stated. Estimates are not guaranteed savings.
04
Report without tracking individuals
We favour aggregate results and only necessary data. Participant information, access, retention and exports are agreed before collection. A review can support the sustainability team but does not replace the company inventory or independent assurance. Office-attendance indicators are used only in aggregate and with authorisation.
FAQ
Practical questions
Do fleet kilometres automatically mean avoided CO₂?+
No. The replaced mode must be known and compared using documented factors and boundaries.
Do you need individual route histories?+
Not for an aggregate participation review. Necessary data is defined in proportion to the objective before launch.
